    Community Outreach Day
    Tuesday, January 15, 2008 - 04:36 PM
Community Outreach Day has been a yearly tradition at BYU since January 2000. It began as an effort to commemorate Martin Luther King Jr. and the values that he taught. Martin Luther King Jr. was a great example to all Americans of the values of service and sacrifice for others. Community Outreach Day's goal is to promote Martin Luther King Day as a “day on and not a day off” for service because, as Dr. King said, "Everyone can be great because everyone can serve." Please take this opportunity to help carry on the legacy of service left by Dr. King and serve those around you.

Keeping Sidewalks Clear of Snow and Ice
    Thursday, January 25, 2007 - 08:54 AM
When it snows in Provo, sidewalk snow and ice removal is the responsibility of the owner, tenant or lessee of the property. This winter’s cold temperatures are causing hazards on sidewalks where residents and business property owners are not removing the snow and ice from their sidewalks after snow storms.

The Provo City Code states that the owner, tenant or lessee of property must remove snow or ice from the sidewalks any time that the average snow depth exceeds one inch, or when snow or ice on the sidewalk presents an unreasonably dangerous condition.
