    2008 Miss Provo Scholarship Pageant

    The 2008 Miss Provo Scholarship Pageant will be on June 14 at the Covey Center for the Arts.  Applications are due April 10.  A mandatory meeting for applicatants will be held on April 22 at 7 p.m. in the dance studio of the Covey Center for the Arts, 425 W. Center Street.

    Load your newspapers, cans and plastics in with the kids and haul them down to this FREE event sponsored by Provo City and Waste Management on Tuesday, March 25, from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Provo City Center, in the parking lot behind the Covey Center for the Arts, on the corner of 100 South and 500 West.  At this fun mid-week activity for families and scout groups, learn about recycling, enjoy free hot dogs, and take pictures with Zippy the Chipmunk.

    Veterans Day Program

    To honor America's veterans, please join us for a special Veterans Day Concert on Sunday, November 11 at 7:00 p.m. at the Provo Tabernacle, 100 South University Avenue. The event is free and open to the public. Patriotic music will be featured on the organ under the direction of Dr. Douglas E. Bush and remarks and a tribute to veterans will be presented by. Col. Jerry R. Acton.

    Covey Center for the Arts Open House

    You are invited to attend the open house for the Covey Center for the Arts on Wednesday, October 3 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The Center staff and volunteers will be conducting tours of the facility, and visitors will also have the chance to observe the dress rehearsal for an event the following evening where they can see the behind the scenes work at putting on a production in this new and exciting venue for the arts in Provo. The Center is located at 425 West Center Street in Provo. Please come, bring your family and friends, and join in the grand opening festivities for the new Covey Center for the Arts.
