NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING BEFORE THE LANDMARKS COMMISSION

The Provo City Landmarks Commission will hold a public meeting on Wednesday, January 21, 2009, at 12:00 p.m. at Gloria’s Little Italy Restaurant at 1 East Center Street. The items listed below will be discussed, and anyone interested is invited to attend however, no formal decisions will be entertained and therefore public comment will not be accepted.

ITEM 1 Presentation and discussion of awards presented by the Utah Chapter of the American Planning Association (Historic Preservation Award for the Landmarks Commission Summer Tour and Reception and Information Technology Award for the online Provo Historic Resources Map)

ITEM 2 An overview of the online Provo Historic Resources Map.

ITEM 3 Discussion regarding update of Historic Provo: A self-guided tour of historic architecture in Provo, Utah brochure.

Copies of the agenda materials, public hearing procedure, and staff recommendations are available the week of the hearing at reasonable cost in the Community Development office, located at 330 West 100 South, Provo, between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday. Agendas and staff recommendations are also generally available on the Provo City Community Development web site the week of the meeting at http://provo.org/comdev (click on Landmarks Commission).
