NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING BEFORE THE LANDMARKS COMMISSION
 
The Provo City Landmarks Commission will hold a public hearing Tuesday, October 12, 2010, at 12:30 p.m. in the Community Development Conference Room at the Provo City Center, located at 330 West 100 South. The items listed below will be discussed, and anyone interested is invited to attend and provide comment. Preceding the public hearing, a briefing will be held at 12:00 p.m. in the Community Development Conference Room. The briefing is open to the public; however, formal presentation of items, public comment and actions will be reserved for the public hearing at 12:30 p.m.
 
ITEM 1* Gary Garrett, agent for NuSkin, requests that the historic designation for the Kress Building generally located at 105 West Center Street, which is in the Provo Commercial Historic District, be changed from contributory to non-contributory. CBD Neighborhood 10-0002LMN

ITEM 3* Ephraim Hatch requests a Historic Landmarks Register Designation for the Ephraim and Verena Hatch home which is generally located at 883 North 1200 East in the R1.8 (One-Family Residential) neighborhood. Foothills Neighborhood 10-0001LMN

Items noted on the agenda with a star (*) require legislative action by the Municipal Council following a public hearing. Unmarked items are administrative actions requiring the approval of only the Landmarks Commission. Decisions on items involving either landmark designation or the refusal to issue a Certificate of Historic Appropriateness may be appealed to the Municipal Council within thirty (30) days of the decision of the Commission per Section 16.03 of the Provo City Code.
 
Copies of the agenda materials, public hearing procedure, and staff recommendations are available the week of the hearing at reasonable cost in the Community Development office, located at 330 West 100 South, Provo, between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday. Agendas and staff recommendations are also generally available on the Provo City Community Development web site the week of the meeting at http://provo.org/commdev.boards.html (click on Landmarks Commission).
