NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING BEFORE THE LANDMARKS COMMISSION
The Provo City Landmarks Commission will hold a public hearing Wednesday, June 18, 2008, at 12:45 p.m. in the Community Development Conference Room at the Provo City Center, located at 330 West 100 South. The following items will be discussed, and anyone interested is invited to attend.
ITEM 1 Gene Shumway requests a Certificate of Appropriate for an addition to a Historic Landmark Register property generally located at 589 East Center Street and commonly referred to as the Fred Taylor House. Joaquin Neighborhood 08-0001LMDR
Item 1 - Staff Report
The Provo City Landmarks Commission will meet for a briefing at 12:00 p.m. in the Community Development Conference Room. This will be a public hearing; however, no testimony will be heard, and no action will be taken on the agenda items.
Items noted on the agenda with a star (*) require legislative action by the Municipal Council following a public hearing. Unmarked items are administrative actions requiring the approval of only the Landmarks Commission. Decisions on items involving either landmark designation or the refusal to issue a Certificate of Historic Appropriateness may be appealed to the Municipal Council within thirty (30) days of the decision of the Commission per Section 16.03 of the Provo City Code.
Copies of the agenda materials, public hearing procedure, and staff recommendations are available the week of the hearing at reasonable cost in the Community Development office, located at 330 West 100 South, Provo, between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday. Agendas and staff recommendations are also generally available on the Provo City Community Development web site the week of the meeting at http://provo.org/comdev (click on Landmarks Commission).
