NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING BEFORE THE PLANNING COMMISSION
(REVISED)

The Provo City Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, February 25, 2009, at 5:00 p.m. in the Municipal Council Chambers of the Provo City Center, located at 351 West Center Street. The items listed below will be discussed, and anyone interested is invited to attend and provide comment. Preceding the public hearing, a briefing will be held at 4:30 p.m. in the Community Development Conference Room, located at 330 West 100 South. The briefing is open to the public; however, formal presentation of items, public comment and actions will be reserved for the public hearing at 5:00 p.m. in the Municipal Council Chambers.

Public Hearings:

ITEM 1 Western Metal Recycling requests project plan approval for a new 45,000 square foot industrial facility generally located at 1005 East 1860 South within the M2 (Heavy Manufacturing) zone. Spring Creek Neighborhood 08-0057PPA The requests includes:

(a) Preliminary Project plan approval of the 45,000 square feet industrial complex;
(b) A conditional-use permit to allow a Recycling Center (SLU 8601) on the 51 acre site; and
(c) A modification to a landscaping requirement, Per Provo City Code 15.20.020(2).

ITEM 2* Daniel Bird, agent for Jim Tucker and C&A Construction, requests rezoning of approximately 3.65 acres from A1.5 (Agricultural) and SSC (Specialty Support Commercial) to the PO (Professional Office) zone for property generally located at 3140 N. Decisions on the unmarked items may be appealed to the Board of Adjustment by making application with the Community Development Department by 6:00 p.m. within 14 days of the Planning Commission decision.
