Provo City’s Neighborhood Program facilitates communication between residents and local government officials and encourages citizen participation in important decisions affecting the City of Provo.
The City of Provo is divided into 5 general areas (Central, Southeast, Southwest, Northeast, and Northwest) and 34 smaller, specific neighborhoods. Each area and neighborhood unit has an elected representative who serves as a liaison between local government officials and the residents of his/her respective area/neighborhood. Map
The Provo Municipal Council actively seeks input from the Neighborhood Area Representatives and Neighborhood Chairs.
The City uses the Neighborhood Organization to both provide for and solicit information from the residents of Provo's neighborhoods.
The Neighborhood program also works closely with the Provo City Police Department to help make our neighborhoods safe. As part of the Community Oriented Policing Program (C.O.P.), each neighborhood has a Neighborhood Officer assigned to their area.
