The Provo Municipal Council Neighborhood Program is set up according to the Provo City Code 2.29. Provo City is divided into neighborhoods which can be seen on the Neighborhood Map.  Each neighborhood has a Neighborhood Chair who is elected for a minimun of two years.   (*Please note that the Little Rock Canyon Neighborhood recently changed its name to North Timpview Neighborhood*)

Neighborhood chairs hold meetings where members of the neighborhood are invited to discuss neighborhood issues, future developments and zoning concerns.  Neighborhood chairs may apply for matching grant money through the Municipal Council which is earmarked for Neighborhood Improvements.

The chairs also meet with members of the Provo Municipal Council and other City Staff to discuss relevent issues and make recommendations to the Council regarding neighborhood needs.

They may work with the Community Oriented Police Program (COP) to develop Neighborhood Watch or Mobile Watch units.

If you are interested in learning more about the neighborhood program, please call the Neighborhood Program Coordinator at 801 852-6137 or e-mail questions to bbassett@provo.utah.gov
