Employee Essentials Program

PURPOSE OF TRAINING
Provo City is committed to providing a safe and professional work environment and developing a knowledgeable workforce that delivers quality service. The Employee Essentials program is designed to teach employees general safety requirements, basic employment laws, and how to conduct themselves as representatives of Provo City.

EMPLOYEE ESSENTIALS PROGRAM: MANDATORY TRAINING 

Program consists of 10 MANDATORY courses that must be completed by all employees (excluding seasonals) at least once every 3 years. Each course takes approximately 30 minutes to finish. Courses can be done in any order.

TRAINING DEADLINE
You must complete all 10 courses in the first 3 months of employment. Each course takes approximately 30 minutes to complete. Courses can be taken in any order.

COURSE COMPLETION
Important Note:
You must view all course materials in their entirety and pass the corresponding quiz (if applicable) to receive credit for completion.

  • All courses are electronically time stamped and audited for completion. Employees found to have submitted inaccurate or misleading information about the completion of a course are subject to the City's discipline policy.
  • The system will not give you credit for completion if you have multiple courses open at the same time.
