Downtown Strategic Planning Meeting on March 8
    Monday, February 25, 2008 - 04:03 AM
The next Downtown Strategic Planning Meeting will be held Saturday, March 8, from 8 a.m. to noon at the Covey Center for the Arts.  It is free and open to the public.  It will be the second in a series of meetings to develop a vision and strategic plan for downtown Provo.   The first meeting was held February 16.  Watch a recent Inside Provo program about the changes happening in downtown Provo.

The purpose of these meetings is to develop a vision for the downtown and a strategic plan to implement the vision.  At the February 16 meeting, participants described what they considered to be the strengths and weaknesses of the area.  The planning consultants from Cooper Roberts Simonsen Associates also invited them to photograph both good and bad features of the downtown for review at the next meeting.  Photos  may be emailed to laura@crsa-us.com.  Read articles about the first meeting from The Daily Universe, the Daily Herald, and the Deseret Morning News
