BDC Process

1. Call - Contact the BDC’s Executive Director at 801-852-6163 to discuss your company or project.

2. Create an applicaiton profile: Angelsoft 

3. Screening - Every month our screening committee reviews all the applications. To proceed to the next stage your opportunity must be compelling enough for the Executive Director to conduct some preliminary due diligence. Since the BDC meets every other month applicants should submit their application a month in advance. 

4. Preliminary Due Diligence - The Executive Director will review application, including reference checks, and determine if "your company is a good fit for the entire BDC Board to see."

5. Presentation - The BDC Board meets every other month. Your CEO will give a ten-minute, in-person presentation (view our presentation guide: value proposition) to the group followed by Q&A. BDC Board members then will discuss your request in private and determine how or if to proceed.

6. Approved, Declined, More Due Diligence - Following the presentation the Executive Director will notify you of how the BDC Board would like to proceed. If Approved, the Executive Director will meet with you and review the terms of approval. If more due diligence is required, the Executive Director will make the necessary arrangements.

7. Funding - During the approval meeting, the Executive Director will provide a checklist of items and activities required for funding. Once all activities are completed and checklist items collected funding will generally take one week.
