    given the mandate to promote and enhance doing business
    in Provo. New  opportunities are available for both startup
    enterprises and growing companies.  The Economic Development
    staff is committed to facilitating and meeting the needs of the

    January 2008 - Expansion Management ranked Provo as a 4-Star Business Opportunity Metro area.  Rankings were based on seven mayor studies and surveys:  Education, Healthcare, Quality of Life, Logistics, College Educated Workforce, and Legislative.

    October 2007 - Milken Institute - Provo/Orem ranked 8th for best performing cities.  Up from 23rd last year, the ranking represents the return of technology dependent economies.  Job growth is currently five times greater than the national average.
