ABSENTEE BALLOTS

A signed application or written request for an absentee ballot can be made up until the Friday before the election (September 9, 2011 and November 4, 2011).

After a signed application or written request is received, the ballot will then be sent to the address indicated. Please allow plenty of time for mailing, especially if you will be in another state or foreign country. Please be aware that the returned ballot must be postmarked no later than the day before election day and received by the Office of the City Recorder by noon on the day of the official canvass of the election.

Overseas applicants shall file their applications no later than 20 days before the election. A ballot for US/local delivery may be requested through the Friday before the election. The dates for ballot return as stated above will apply.
