How Do I Report a Problem or Request a Service?


To report any LIFE THREATENING EMERGENCY, call 9-1-1.

 

For all other services, questions, or problems, call the Provo City Helpline at 801-852-6000, or 3-1-1 in most areas

Our automated call center is available 24 hours every day, seven days per week.  In addition, customer service representatives are available to assist callers from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.

 

When you call the helpline, you can:

  • Report an electric or water outage 24/7.
  • Get information about the wide variety of city services
  • Connect to any city department.
  • Start, stop or suspend utility services, ask questions about your utility bill, or make payment arrangements.
  • Report a street light outage.
  • Request any City service.

 

For convenience, there are many services that are available by calling directly or visiting the City's web site.

  • Utility payments may be entered through the web site (click here) or through the automated call center by calling 801-852-6000 or 3-1-1.  (Please have your PIN number available).
  • To report Grafitti, call 801-85-CRIME (801-852-7463).
  • To contact the Justice Court, call 801-85-COURT (801-852-6878).
  • To report a problem with a traffic light, call 801-852-6210 (Police).
  • To report any other traffic problem or hazard, call 801-852-6210 (Police).
  • To report a maintenance problem in a park, call 801-852-6606 during business hours or 801-368-1641 at other times.
  • To report a maintenance problem with a sidewalk, call 801-852-6000 during business hours, or click here.

 Please note:  Call Center hours are 7:00 am to 6:00 pm Monday through Friday.  However, regular business hours for some City departments are Monday through Thursday, closed on Fridays.  For a complete list of business hours for all City departments, click here.
