Part-time Regular Positions

Essential Duties: These are gymnastics/tumbling specialist positions for the Provo City Recreation Department. Appointed employees will be required to instruct youth in tumbling and/or gymnastics skills at The Center located at 222 West 500 North in Provo. Additionally, employees will be required to assist the Gymnastics Coordinator as needed and perform other related duties as required.

Minimum Requirements: Adequate knowledge, skill, or experience in gymnastics which would demonstrate an ability to perform the work. Preference will be given to applicants with previous gymnastics instructing experience.

Selection Factors: Ability to work well with youth and be personable, dependable, and responsible.

Screening: Based on job-related experience and meeting the minimum requirements. Hiring for this position may be based largely upon an oral interview. Criminal background checks are conducted on all City positions. Non-disclosure may result in dismissal.

Wage: $8.00 per hour depending upon qualifications. Payment will be made by direct deposit.

Schedule: Schedule is flexible based on department need and is subject to change.

Physical/Environmental Factors: This work requires physical strength and agility to perform the work including spotting the participants and minor bending and lifting.
