    Part Time Seasonal Position

    This is a part-time seasonal internship position with the Provo Senior Games from June 5, 2008 to September 15, 2008.

    Essential Duties: The individual appointed to this position will be required to perform the following duties under the direction of the Senior Games Director: work with an organizing committee, sponsors, and event directors in organizing, promoting, and conducting the Provo Senior Games. Additionally, the employee will be required to perform other duties as assigned.

    Minimum Requirements: Must be a senior or graduate student in Recreation Management and have a sufficient amount of experience and/or knowledge which would demonstrate the ability to perform the duties of the position.

    Selection Factors: Ability to help organize and manage complex events according to schedule; work effectively and positively with the public; be highly effective with oral and written communications; identify and solve problems; display a positive work attitude; and be enthusiastic, creative, outgoing, helpful and committed.

    Schedule: Position starts June 5, 2008.

    June 5 - June 22: 15 hours per week

    June 25 - August 3: 30 hours per week

    August 6 -August 31: 40 hours per week

    September-Wrap ups 15 hours per week

    The work schedule is somewhat flexible, generally weekdays; however, employee must be available without encumbrance during the actual Senior Games--August 23 through August 29.

    Wage: $10.00 per hour. Payment will be made by direct deposit.

    Screening: Based on meeting the minimum requirements and job-related experience, skills, knowledge, and education. Selection may be based largely upon an oral interview. Criminal background checks are conducted on all City positions. Non-disclosure may result in dismissal.
