October 30, 2006 Program
For the October 30 edition of Inside Provo, Mayor Billings hosted Police Chief Craig Geslison and Victim Assistance Coordinator Vicky Proctor to talk about domestic violence. Domestic Violence victim counseling resources in our community:
Free Women's Support Group call 356-2511 (English) and 852-6244 for Spanish-speaking support group.
There are other fee-based groups held in our community. Contact the Provo Police Victim Services Program at 852-6210 or 852-6375 for information on these groups.
For individuals who have recognized they may be abusive to their partner, there is help. Contact Intermountain Specialized Abuse and Treatment at 373-0210, Addiction and Psychological Services, 222-0603, Alliance Clinical Services 763-7775, Family Abuse Center for Treatment 787-7843, Institute for Cognitive Therapy 802-8608, or Wasatch Mental Health 373-9656 (Medicaid clients only) for costs and therapy types and times.
