The purpose of the Provo Arts Council is to act as a citizen advisory board for the Covey Center for the Arts and for the arts in Provo. The goal is for the Arts Council to help gather information concerning arts and arts rogramming throughout Provo and then help disseminate that information to the citizens.  The Arts Council also helps with programs sponsored by Provo City that are held outside the Covey Center.  The board meets monthly on the second Monday at noon in the Covey Center for the Arts Board Room.

Qualifications

• Have an interest in the arts and their advancement in Provo.
• Have qualifications in specific disciplines of the Arts. Currently we need individuals with qualifications in Folk Art and Dance.
• Have the time to be able to research and find events and instruction in their specific discipline. Then share the information with the council.
• Be willing to fund raise by asking individuals and businesses for contributions.
• Be willing to support and help with Covey Center and Provo City events as needed.
