Provo City

Senior Advisory Board

This is a seven member board created to provide advisement and recommendations to the City on matters relating to senior citizen interests, needs, and programs, as well as, programs conducted by the staff of the Senior and Historical Services Division at the Eldred Senior Center and elsewhere in the community.

It is specifically charged to advise the Mayor and the Director of Parks and Recreation, although this interface has generally been delegated to the Assistant Director for Senior and Historical Services, who regularly meets with the Board in an ad hoc capacity. The Parks and Recreation Director also frequently attends Board meetings. In the past, a member of the Municipal Council has been assigned to be liaison with the Board and has attended several of their meetings.

The Board presently meets at 9:30 a.m. on the second Wednesday of each month in the Eldred Center.
