Learn to Skate
What is Learn to Skate?
- Learn to Skate (LTS) is a comprehensive ice skating program sanctioned by U.S. Figure Skating.
- LTS teaches the FUNdamentals of ice skating (see usfsa.org for more information).
- LTS is taught in group lessons by USFS registered instructors.
What classes are offered in Learn to Skate?
- Snowplow Sam 1 - 3 (ages 3-5)
- Hockey 1 - 4 (ages 3-16)
- Basic Skills 1 - 8 (ages 6-16)
- Freeskate 1 - 6/Junior Champions (must have passed Basic 8)
- Adult 1 - 4 (ages 16 and up) **Perfect for parents whose children are enrolled in lower levels**

When is Learn to Skate?
Between AUGUST - MAY students attend once a week for 6 weeks. There are 4 sessions: Fall, Winter 1, Winter 2, and Spring held on the following days and times:
- Tuesdays: 5:15-6:00pm OR 6:00-6:45pm.
- Thursday: 5:15-6:00pm OR 6:00-6:45pm.
- Saturdays: 10:00-10:45am OR 10:45-11:30am.
Between JUNE - AUGUST students attend Tuesdays AND Thursdays (twice a week for 8 weeks). There are 2 sessions: Summer 1 and Summer 2, held at the following times:
- Tuesdays & Thursdays: 5:15-6:00pm OR 6:00-6:45pm
How much is Learn to Skate?
- $48 per person.
- Includes Skate Rental.
- Includes 4 Public Skating Passes.
What to wear?
- Dress for warmth.
- Gloves.
- Helmet (optional).
- Skates are provided.
