Provo City will hold a public meeting to explain the process, options, and constraints relating to redistricting on Wed., Feb. 15, at 6 p.m. in the Municipal Council Chambers of the Provo City Center, 351 W. Center St. The Provo Municipal Council is responsible for drawing the boundaries for school board and council districts to ensure the population is balanced among the districts in light of the latest census.
Residents have also been invited to participate in the process by submitting a proposed map using a new interactive mapping tool developed by Provo City. The deadline to submit a map for school district boundaries is Sun., Feb. 12, and for council boundaries, Mon., March 12. Here are other deadlines related to redistricting:

February 14, 7 p.m. Presentation of maps to the Provo School Board.

February 21, 4 p.m. Municipal Council to review proposed maps and consider School Board feedback and recommendations.

February 28, 7 p.m. Municipal Council public hearing to consider final action on proposed changes.

March 9-15. School Board candidate filing period. File at the Utah County Clerk’s office. . (It opens Friday, March 9 at 8:00 a.m. and closes Thursday, March 15 at 5:00 p.m.)
