The National Corporation for National and Community Service has ranked Provo as the most volunteer-oriented mid-sized city in the nation.  Provo's volunteer rate (the percentage of our residents who volunteer their time for community service) was 62.9% compared with the national average of 27%.  You can see the statistics at the Volunteering in America website and also see how we compare with other communities around the country.  The commitment of our residents to volunteer service is one of the things that makes Provo an extraordinary place to live.
