Water Sources Section of Water Resources

The Water Sources Section of Water Resources is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the City's sources of culinary water supply and for the delivery of that water to the City's nine distribution reservoirs or tanks located generally along the east foothills of the community.  The Water Sources Section operates and maintains spring areas (in Provo and Rock Canyons), water transmission lines, chlorinator stations, deep wells, booster pumps, pressure reducing stations, and storage reservoirs.  This division is also responsible for water quality and routinely collects water samples which are analyzed for some 114 chemical and microbial contaminants.
