Start Smart Basketball is a developmentally appropriate introductory program for boys and girls, ages 3-5 years old. Start Smart Basketball prepares children for organized basketball in a fun, nonthreatening environment. The program allows children the opportunity to work one-on-one with a parent. The program teaches children a variety of basketball skills including: dribbling, passing, shooting, and agility. The children will use fun, safe, and developmentally appropriate equipment. The basketball exercises will become increasingly more difficult as the class progresses and children show improvement. Parents and children attend 6 one hour sessions. The classes will be held on Wednesdays at rotating times from 4:30, 5:30, 6:30 p.m. and Saturdays at rotating times from 9:00, 10:00 or 11:00 a.m. Equipment provided. Fee includes shirt, certificate, and participation award.
