Downtown Provo Center Focus
Downtown Provo has gained a reputation over the years as one of the most charming, thriving downtowns in the Intermountain West. The Downtown is unique among Provo's commercial districts for its combination of historic storefronts, tree-lined streets, assorted restaurants, modern ice buildings, and civic institutions. Truly, Downtown Provo stands among Utah’s central business districts as a wonderfully distinctive place.
With the recent Center Focus effort to develop a vision for Downtown's future and to implement that vision, Downtown Provo is in the midst of a resurgence unmatched in many decades. To those who wish to play a role in bringing this Downtown Provo vision to reality, we say welcome to the team! Downtowns are complex organisms, and so the strategies to meld the best of Provo’s past with the possibilities of the future will involve committed, sustained cooperation of many different stakeholders. If you already have a stake in Downtown Provo, we look forward to working together to implement this Downtown Strategic Plan. If you are contemplating becoming a stakeholder, please know that in Downtown Provo you will find great ideas, infectious enthusiasm, and many wonderful people.
