Emergency Home Repair Grants


Emergency Repairs

Grants and /or loans are available to assist properties owned and occupied by very-low or low-income persons (see The Income Chart) who are 60 years of age or older and/or on Social Security Disability; and low-moderate income households owned and occupied by active-duty members of the U.S. Armed Forces within Provo City limits. 
  • Repairs must be a health or safety emergency.
  • Grants do not exceed $5000.
  • If a loan is granted at a later date for additional repairs, the grant amount will be added to the loan balance.

Technical Assistance

The Redevelopment Agency staff will process your application to: verify eligibility; inspect your home to determine what work can be done.
 
Provo City Redevelopment Agency is notifying all applicants of the hazards related to lead-based paint by providing a copy of the pamphlet, "Protect Your Family From Lead In Your Home," developed by the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), and United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
