This is an open lab providing an opportunity for experienced individuals to create projects of their own. Includes use of all equipment (wheels, tools, etc.) and firing (up to cone 7 in an electric kiln). Don't forget your own clay and glazes!

Beginners Skateboarding Lessons

Ages: 9 and up
10:30 - 11:30 a.m., Mondays and Wednesdays
10:30 - 11:30 a.m., Tuesdays and Thursdays A great class for beginning skateboard riders. Emphasis is on skate park safety etiquette and skateboard basics for beginners. Learn proper foot placement - regular, goofy, pushing, riding, tack turns, switch turns and safe ramp approaches. An introduction to an ollie, dropping in, a manual and a kick flip. Open skating after class. Required: skateboard, helmet and Center membership. |

Country Western Dance~
|
Ages: 18 and older
Fee: $4.00 before 9:30 p.m., $6.00 after 9:30 p.m.
Dance Instruction: 9:00 - 9:30 p.m.
Time: Every Wednesday and Saturday 9:00 p.m. - midnight
Come meet new people and have some fun. Country western dancing includes country swing, two-step, west coast swing, country waltz, the cowboy chacha, and tons of fun line dances! There are lessons from 9:00 to 9:30 p.m. This is one of the best dances in Provo. Co-sponsored by Utah Country Dance and The Center. For more information check the website www.UtahCountryDance.com.

Ages 6 - 8: 5:00 - 5:50 p.m.
Ages 9 - 13: 6:00 - 6:50 p.m. Dance classes are specially tailored to develop individual skills for boys and girls in styles according to their age and ability. 6-8 year olds will learn basic creative movement and ballet technique. 9-13 year olds will begin to develop Jazz movements and creative styling. Each class will learn through choreography showcased in an end of term recital. Dancers should come dressed in clothes they can move in.

Summer Adventure Day Camp

**Early Bird Special: Sign up for 6 weeks and get the 7th week free! Special ends June 14! Ages: 6 - 11 (Children entering 1st-6th grade) Fee: $45 (Includes all field trips, transportation, activity costs and admission charges) When: Monday - Thursday Min/Max: 12/30 Registration: Begins April 16th at 10 a.m. and must be done in person at the Parks and Recreation Office, 351 W. Center St. No refund after the first day of camp.
Location: The Center (222 West 500 North) Description: The Adventure Camp will include crafts, sports, games, demonstrations, projects, movies, entertainment, and fun activities related to each weeks theme. Youth will go on exciting tours and field trips, discovering fun attractions throughout Utah County. Transportation is provided by Provo School Disctrict's bus service and is included with registration. Please pack a lunch/snack for your child to have each day. Tours include: Veterans Waterpark, Thanksgiving Point, Laser Tag, Zoo, Movie Theater, CLAS Ropes Course, Seven Peaks Waterpark, etc. |

Session 1: May 29 - July 3* Twinkle Toes is a ballet & creative movement class where children will learn ballet fundamentals and a routine based on core dance elements. Dancers should come dressed in clothes they can move in. This is a closed class. Parents may not sit in the class but are invited to watch class the last week of the session and enjoy a recital on the last day of the session. |
