About Us
Provo City Forestry Division manages over 30,000 trees that are growing under electrical power lines and facilities. Our crews maintain (prune, remove, spray, and plant) 15,000 Street Trees throughout the City.

What does it mean to be a Tree City USA? It means that Provo City has been nationally recognized (by the Arbor Day Foundation, USDA Forest Service and National Association of State Foresters) for having an outstanding urban forestry program. Being a Tree City USA has many benefits. It promotes a positive public image and citizen pride. It creates environmental awareness and education opportunities throughout the community. Most importantly, it demonstrates our dedication to protecting and improving our urban forest. Provo City has been a Tree City USA for 25 years. We look forward to future years of Tree City USA status.
 Tree Line USA
Tree Line USA for 12 Years
Provo City Power is a Tree Line USA Utility and has been for the past 12 years. The Tree Line USA award nationally recognizes Provo City Power for its practices that protect and enhance Provo City’s urban forest. The requirements to receive this award are stringent and call for quality tree care, annual worker training, and ongoing public education and tree planting programs (for more information click here). The benefits of meeting these challenging requirements are a healthier forest, lower long-term management costs, and greater sustainability.
