Mission Statement The mission of the Neighborhood Program is to facilitate effective, informed and representative participation of citizens in government and self-help initiatives. The Neighborhood program provides a channel for communication among citizens, elected officials and city department staff.

Neighborhood Chair Chairs are elected by their neighborhoods to serve as a leader to identify and present solutions to neighborhoods regarding community issues. Chairs provide a direct line of communication between the Neighborhood and the Municipal Council and City Administration. Chairs serve four-year terms, and also organize meetings on neighborhood issues.

Matching Grant The Matching Grant Program is a tool used by the Provo Council to help citizens develop and beautify their neighborhoods. This program allocates funds to neighborhood based groups and organizations. It works to provide opportunities for neighbors to meet each other, work together and build stronger relationships while providing a benefit to the neighborhood.

Community Oriented Policing/Community Resource Officers The Provo Neighborhoods work closely with the Provo Police Department's Community Oriented Policing (COP) initiative. The neighborhoods are divided into  COP Districts. Each district's police officers work closely with their assigned neighborhoods to keep the neighborhood safe and healthy.
