Northeast Area Neighborhoods Meeting
- Date: 02/15/2018 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM
- Introduction: Meeting for the Edgemont, Indian Hills, North Timpview, Riverbottoms, Riverside, Rock Canyon, and Sherwood Hills Neighborhoods
We are scheduling a NE area meeting for all residents, the evening of Feb 15th in the multi-purpose room at Legacy Village (4146 N University ave.) to get input from our residents regarding to land use issues.
On Feb 20th, the city council will be deciding whether to make some/all of the park immediately south of Timpview HS surplus land, so it can be sold. We’ve asked members of the Parks and Rec department to come discuss this topic. (When the plan to do so was presented to the council at a recent work meeting, it seemed the council was in favor of this action. So, if there are strong feeling against this action, attending this meeting and the city council meeting are critically important to have this perspective considered.)
Matt Swain, representing Perry Homes and Legacy Village, will also be presenting his company’s plans for the final addition to Legacy Village – the construction of independent living residential units in a new building to be built immediately south of the current Legacy Village Assisted Living building and north of the twin and tri-plex homes north of 3900 N. I was not able to find if/when this has been scheduled to be presented to the planning commission or city council for review.
