Budget - Fiscal Year 2020-2021

Mayor Kaufusi presented the proposed Provo City budget to City Council at the May 5, 2020, Council meeting. The Council then began a process of reviewing budget items. The proposed budget is anticipated to be tentatively adopted at the May 19, 2020, Council meeting. Public hearings dates will be set at the May 19 meeting. The final budget is anticipated to be adopted at the June 16 Council meeting.

Provo City's proposed budget was presented to the City Council by the Mayor on May 5, 2020. The Council then began a process of reviewing budget items. The proposed budget is expected to be tentatively adopted at the May 19, 2020, Council meeting. Review of the budget continued, with approval of the final budget anticipated at the Council meeting on June 16, 2020.

For the fiscal year 2020-2021 budget, departments were asked to make some budget presentations in the months leading up to delivery of the actual proposed budget.

Council staff will prepare a preliminary review of the budget and created a summary (Citizens Budget) to help Council members and the public quickly gain an understanding of what is proposed in the budget. The public will also be invited to review the information and share their comments in Open City Hall.
