Essential Duties: The individual appointed to this position will be required to perform the following duties: approximately eight to ten hours of tumbling instruction per week to children ages 4 and under and their parents. The instructor will teach and assist a parent and tot’s exploration of body movement, motor skills, tumbling, and working together.
Minimum Requirements: Adequate knowledge, skill, or experience in tumbling which would demonstrate an ability to perform the work. Preference will be given to applicants with previous instructing experience.
Wage: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour, depending on experience. Payment will be by direct deposit.
Hours: Monday and Wednesday from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM; and Pre-K Field Day on Tuesday and Thursday from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
Schedule: Current classes are scheduled for Monday and Wednesdays 9:00 am - 1:00 pm with set up and take down before and after class. Further schedules will be determined by department.
Selection Factors: Knowledge of tumbling, job-related experience, and public relations skills.
Screening: Based on meeting the minimum requirements and job-related experience, skills, knowledge, and education. Selection may be based largely upon an oral interview. Criminal background checks are conducted on all City positions. Non-disclosure may result in dismissal.
Physical/Environmental Factors: This work requires physical strength and agility to perform the work including: two to four hours of tumbling instruction per week and other varied activities associated with performing the essential duties.
