Essential Duties: This is a custodial laborer position needed on a part-time basis for the Covey Center for the Arts. The individual hired for this position will be required to perform custodial duties; perform general laborer duties; perform minor lifting; move stage and performance equipment; be flexible and fill in where needed; and perform other related duties as required.

Minimum Requirements:
Applicant must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Applicant must have the physical strength and agility enough to perform the work and the ability to follow directions. Must also be able to communicate with the public in a courteous manner. Preference will be given to those individuals who have worked in a theater environment and have previous custodial experience.

Selection Factors:
Knowledge of applicable job-related experience and demonstrate skill in performing duties in a manner that demonstrates respect, integrity, courtesy, and kindness towards fellow workers, customers, and the general public.

Hours: Mornings 5:00 AM to 9:00 AM. Monday through Saturday with a day off scheduled mid-week based on performances. Hours are not flexible because of performance schedules.

Wage: $10.00 per hour. Payment will be made by direct deposit.

Screening: Based on meeting the minimum requirements and job-related knowledge, experience, education, and/or training. Selection for this position may be based largely upon an oral interview. Criminal background checks are conducted on all City positions. Non-disclosure may result in dismissal.

Physical/Environmental Factors: This work requires physical labor; walking; bending; reaching; and lifting (up to 70 lbs.).

Pre-employment Testing: Prior to appointment, applicants will be required to successfully pass a drug screening and background investigation. Individuals with unsatisfactory drug screening results will be ineligible for appointment or application to any Provo City position for a minimum period of six (6) months.
