Provo is a city known for its service. We want to show the world how much we care! Take a picture of yourself or your friends next time you perform a small or large act of service, post it to Instagram or Facebook using #provoserves and a generous donor will donate $2 for every hashtag up to $1,000 to a Provo founded Charity 2FT Prosthetics.
Each act of service documented using #provoserves helps someone in a developing country get a new start on life! Every 50 hashtags provides a prosthetic leg for an individual in need.
This week is the final push of the Provo Serves Initiative! If you are still looking for ways to serve there are 2 more activities you can help out with this week!
Tomorrow June 13th from 7-8pm we will be cleaning the Timp Kiwanis Park (3250 Timpview Dr, Provo, UT 84604)
June 14th we will be cleaning the South Franklin Community Center from 9:30-11:30am (770 S 700 W, Provo, UT 84601)

Service Celebration Weekend
Come celebrate the final day of the Provo Serves Initiative on June 16th! This FREE community event is at North Park next to the Recreation Center, from 5pm-8pm.
Come join us for a relaxing evening with our community. Lay out a blanket and grab some food at our food trucks, watch your little ones ride on our pony carousel and play with our petting zoo, have fun on our inflatables and lay back and enjoy the animal show and our Coldplay cover band.
There will be a picnic blanket contest for the most colorful and/or unique picnic blanket set up.
So mark your calendars and come celebrate with you neighbors!
Letter from the Mayor:
"During my first speech as mayor, I emphasized Provo’s spirit of volunteerism. Provo citizens have long been known as some of the most service-oriented people anywhere. I applaud you, my neighbors, for that. I’ve worked alongside many of you through the years. You are amazing.
I want to celebrate and build on Provo’s spirit of service. And I would love to let the outside world catch even more of a glimpse of it. So I am pleased to announce our ProvoServes initiative. For the next while, when you catch someone serving—or you serve someone yourself— please post it to social media with the hashtag #provoserves. And while you’re at it, let’s all look for ways we can step up our service game. I invite you to keep an eye out for little or big ways you can help those around you. Pick up some litter, write a thank you note, or just go introduce yourself to a neighbor you haven’t met yet. Doing so can make such a difference." - Mayor Kaufusi
