Boards & Commissions

The Community Development Department directs six of the City’s boards, commissions and committees. These boards are made up of Provo City citizens who are appointed by the Mayor, with the consent of the Municipal Council. These boards make recommendations to the Mayor, City Council and staff regarding various land use issues within the city.

The Provo City Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on December 12, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. located at the Municipal Council Chambers, 351 West Center Street. The items listed below will be discussed, and anyone interested is invited to attend and provide comment. Planning Commission hearings can be viewed live on Channel 17 or linked from the Provo City website at http://provo.org/city-services/channel-17.

 

Decisions made by the Planning Commission may be appealed to the Board of Adjustment by making application with the Community Development Department by 6:00 p.m. within 14 days of the Planning Commission decision.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING BEFORE THE LANDMARKS COMMISSION

 

The Provo City Landmarks Commission will hold a public hearing Wednesday, December 19, 2018, at 12:30 p.m. in the Community Development Conference Room at the Provo City Center, located at 330 West 100 South. The items listed below will be discussed, and anyone interested is invited to attend and provide comment.

 

The items below are administrative actions requiring the approval of only the Landmarks Commission. Decisions on items involving either landmark designation or the refusal to issue a Certificate of Historic Appropriateness may be appealed to the Municipal Council within thirty (30) days of the decision of the Commission per Section 16.03 of the Provo City Code.
