The mission of the volunteer program at the Parks Division is to enhance the quality of life for people through the professional and coordinated stewardship of the Parks Division. Citizens are offered the opportunity to serve with integrity, civility and accountability; to make a difference.
There is a great need for volunteers year-round. No group is too large or too small. There are no qualifications - everyone can volunteer!
Most service projects involve; weeding, raking, trash pickup, preparing for and laying sod, planting trees, creating and maintaining tree aprons, painting and trail building.
We need volunteers for the Provo Cemetery, our parks, and our trail systems. There's always something that can be done to beautify our areas.
Please call (801) 852-7607 or email Carl Ashby, Volunteer Coordinator, for more information.
Thank you for helping us keep Provo City's Parks, trails and cemetery safe by alerting us to any safety issue on our grounds.

Provo Parks & Recreation coordinates many city-wide Community events throughout the year.
The mission of Provo Parks & Recreation Special Events is to create experiences that promote unity within the city and allow citizens to celebrate special occasions together. As a volunteer at a Special Event, you will be the face of the event by interacting with our participants through the avenue of games, crafts, and other activities involved in the event.
Provo Special Events invites all volunteers age 16+. Single volunteers or groups are welcome! We have events throughout the year, happening on average about once a month.
