Mayor Kaufusi presented the proposed Provo City budget to City Council at the May 7, 2019, Council meeting. The Council then began a process of reviewing budget items. The proposed budget was tentatively adopted at the May 21, 2019, Council meeting. Public hearings dates will be held at the June 4 and June 18 Council meetings. The final budget is anticipated to be approved at the June 18 Council meeting.

For the fiscal year 2019-20 budget, departments were asked to make some budget presentations in the months leading up to delivery of the actual proposed budget.
Council staff has prepared a preliminary review of the budget and created a summary (Citizens Budget) to help Council members and the public quickly gain an understanding of what is proposed in the budget. The public is invited to review the information and share their comments in Open City Hall.
